COSBOA Business Grants for Small Businesses
The Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) currently has applications open online for monetary business grants to Australian small businesses. Those particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are the specific demographic that these grants, made possible by Salesforce, are targeting. The grants consist of a one-off payment of AUD 10, 000 for 67 businesses.
The reason behind the offers of this grant is to assist businesses on the pathway to recovery, having been affected by closures and restrictions implemented due to the pandemic. The grants are for supporting initiatives that are intended to be taken by small businesses as they adapt and innovate to emerge in strong positions despite the economic turmoil caused by COVID-19. These initiatives may consist of anything: from the acquisition of new software or hardware, novel approaches to marketing, changes to the workplace or business processes, etc. Basically anything aimed at growing the business.
In order to be selected, a proposal should be sent in to COSBOA detailing the ideas you intend to implement if you were given the grant money. The effectiveness of these ideas in terms of their outcome based on the proposal will be assessed by COSBOA.
In return, if you are selected to receive this grant, COSBOA only requires that you implement your proposal and document the journey and outcome in a video or written case study, whether you are successful or not.
COSBOA also requires that the proposal be implemented by the 31st of December 2020.
